IMAR management and staff are highly motivated and dedicated individuals with a cumulative total of 250 years of experience in MRI fundamentals, design, development, operation, clinical practice and business development. IMAR staff has designed and built MRI systems and components and have collectively authored some 500 publications and 100 patents. Their expertise covers every aspect of MRI technology, from magnet and software design to imaging practice. Client sites have access to this broad professional resource pool to back up the consultant on site and to provide ongoing support for site accreditation issues.
Based in San Francisco, our group of professionals is available for
consultations to MRI sites throughout North America. We are also available
for travel throughout Asia, Europe and South America to aid MRI sites

Why IMAR?
Many individual
contractors and equipment manufacturers offer ACR MRI accreditation
support, but these concentrate on the mechanics of positioning the
phantom and fine tuning of the phantom protocols. Correct phantom
positioning and scanning parameters are necessary for getting
accreditation, but are not sufficient. Nearly two thirds of
accreditation failures are for issues unrelated to phantom
scanning.
